Panels & Beds Guide: Choose Your Setup and Plan Your Room
Find the right setup for your space
Start with how you want to use your space: a compact seated setup, a panel over an existing bed or treatment table, or a dedicated red light bed. Then measure the complete setup, not just the light panel.
Room sizes below are suggested planning examples, not manufacturer minimums or guarantees of fit. Your furniture, stand base, operating position, access needs and the manufacturer's required clearances determine the space you actually need. Confirm the current model specifications before ordering.
Suggested room sizes at a glance
| Suggested space | Setup to explore | What to plan for |
|---|---|---|
| 6 × 6 ft (36 sq ft) | Compact seated or desktop setup: JuvaGO or JuvaCell | A stable placement surface where required, a chair, the prescribed user-to-device distance and an unobstructed exit. This is a planning zone that can sit within a larger room. |
| 8 × 10 ft (80 sq ft) | Compact panel setup: JuvaSlim or JuvaMAX | Measure your existing bed or treatment table plus the entire stand base. A small panel does not necessarily mean a small complete setup. |
| 10 × 10 ft (100 sq ft) | Larger adjustable panel setup: JuvaSmart, JuvaPro HD or JuvaSport | Allow for stand movement, the panel's full operating positions, furniture and comfortable entry and exit. Verify the stand footprint before choosing. |
| 10 × 12 ft (120 sq ft) | Dedicated RedBed room, with a separately purchased overhead panel if desired | Leave room for getting on and off, cleaning and any overhead panel stand. Confirm compatibility and operating clearances for a combined setup. |
| 12 × 12 ft (144 sq ft) or larger | A more spacious dedicated bed-room concept | Useful as an initial layout concept for storage and circulation. JuvaTube fit cannot be confirmed until its dimensions and opening clearance are verified. |
Compare the formats
Compact panels: flexible spaces

JuvaGO lists a device size of 12.5 × 8.5 inches. JuvaCell lists 8.85 × 4.92 inches. Explore these when you want a compact format rather than a permanently dedicated bed setup. Include space for the user and follow the model's positioning instructions.
Mid-size panels: work with your existing furniture

JuvaSlim lists panel dimensions of 34.9 × 16.4 inches and includes an over-the-bed stand. JuvaMAX lists 45.5 × 17.5 inches and includes an over-the-bed telescopic stand. These measurements do not establish the assembled stand footprint. Measure the complete arrangement before ordering.
Larger adjustable panels: plan for movement

JuvaSmart lists 71 × 25 inches and an electronic stand. JuvaPro HD lists 75 × 24 × 5 inches and an adjustable stand for horizontal or vertical positioning. JuvaSport includes a hydraulic stand; confirm its assembled dimensions before planning its location. Reserve space for the stand base and the full movement envelope, not just the panel.
RedBed: a dedicated lying-down setup

The RedBed listing gives dimensions of 74 inches long, including the headrest, × 27 inches wide × 18 inches high. It also lists a 7-inch headrest extension; confirm how that affects the maximum overall length. The overhead panel shown in some listing photos is not included and is sold separately.
A 10 × 12 ft room is a suggested starting layout, not a required minimum. As a layout illustration, placing the listed 74 × 27 inch bed centrally with its length along a 12 ft room leaves about 35 inches at each end and 46.5 inches on each side before other furniture, stand bases or headrest extension. These are geometric estimates, not required installation clearances.
JuvaTube: verify dimensions before choosing the room

The JuvaTube is a dedicated enclosed bed format. Ask Juvawave to confirm its overall length, width, closed height, fully open height, access and service clearances, packaged dimensions and delivery requirements before ordering. Do not rely on a room-size example alone to decide whether it will fit.
Measure before you order
- Measure usable floor space. Record room length and width, then subtract fixed furniture, cabinets and door swings.
- Measure the entire setup. Include the bed or table, stand base, headrest extension, moving panel and any opening canopy.
- Check height and movement. Include ceiling height, lights, fans and the highest operating or open position.
- Check the delivery route. Measure clear doorway openings, corridors, corners, stairs and elevator interiors against packaged dimensions. Do not assume a product will fit through a doorway.
- Plan access. Keep exits unobstructed and provide space for getting on and off, cleaning and servicing. Commercial spaces may require additional accessibility and building clearances.
- Verify utilities and installation instructions. Confirm electrical requirements, ventilation and manufacturer clearances for your exact model before purchase. Follow the supplied manual for positioning and use.
